Historic Downtown Hiram

An old style downtown filled with shops and restaurants galore, there’s always something new to explore in downtown Hiram. Check out this quaint downtown area just off the train tracks for a fun day in the local neighborhood. A personal favorite of ours is the Olive Tree, a Greek restaurant that will have you saying “Opa!” and making all the other tables wonder what’s wrong with you.
Ben Hill Strickland, Sr. Memorial Park

Don’t let the view from Highway 92 fool you; there’s a lot more to this park than meets the eye! Ben Hill Strickland, Sr. Memorial Park has tennis courts and a clubhouse by the road, but drive further in and you’ll be treated with a nature lover’s wonderland. Walking trails, pavilions, a pond with a fountain, and an amphitheater dot the expansive natural space.
Silver Comet Trail

The famous Silver Comet Trail passes right through Hiram, and as a result there’s a trailhead not far from town. Enjoy a quick walk or bike ride on this well-maintained section, or use it to plan out a longer voyage through Georgia. The trailhead also boasts its own park, complete with a train car and a dog park for the whole family to enjoy.
Veterans Memorial Park

Located in a quieter spot away from the main town, the Veterans Memorial located on Harris Drive is a great place to pay respects to fallen soldiers right at home.
Hiram Rosenwald School Museum
For a slice of history, the Hiram Rosenwald School Museum is a worthy choice. Located right on Highway 92, this historic building has been maintained by a network of volunteers, and offers monthly tours and local events inside. It’s the perfect place to get connected with community while learning more about the past.
