St. Jude Children’s Hospital is one of the leading charities for childhood cancer in the world. The Zachos Team is proud to support this cause, so today we’d like to give it a spotlight and tell more about how you can help.
“The charity is all about how parents never have to pay a dime,” Dee Dee says. “They pay for the whole thing.”
This is something proudly stated by the organization: St. Jude makes it a point to make sure these families never receive a bill from them, so they can focus on taking care of their child rather than medical expenses.
According to their site, St. Jude has pushed the survival rate of childhood cancer from 20% to 80%. In the future, they hope to expand more internationally, to spread the use and availability of life saving cancer treatment drugs all across the world.
In addition, the organization has a massive network of research facilities to find preventative measures for not just cancer, but a variety of life-threatening diseases. With these in-house resources, the nonprofit is able to spread life-saving knowledge all across the globe, and impact millions of lives in the process.
“The commercials break your heart,” Dee Dee says, “just knowing the kids go through that. So it’s important for us to be able to help with that.”
As a result, The Zachos Team is proud to help St. Jude’s advance their mission. Much of the organization’s funding comes from the monthly donations of people like us. This constant commitment ensures that they can continue to conduct research, handle medical bills, and ease the burden on families going through a tragedy.
