With three hospitals and many more neighborhood locations, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is the leading pediatric healthcare provider in Atlanta. Today, we’d like to shine a light on all this amazing organization has done for our community and how you can help.

One of several pediatric charities that The Zachos Team donates regularly to, Children’s Healthcare prides itself on treating and preventing childhood illness. Managing over 1.2 million patient visits annually, Children’s Healthcare is one of the top pediatric care systems in the Southeast.

Children’s Healthcare identifies itself as a not-for-profit organization, meaning it relies on donations from the community in order to operate. While monetary donations are always accepted, those who wish to help can step in as volunteers as well. Volunteers might be asked to perform administrative tasks, or you could plan an activity for the children to break up the monotony of hospital life and leave a positive impact.

There are also opportunities for college students and teenagers to volunteer, taking on internship style roles in order to help children while learning more about the medical field. The summer programs and twelve-week college tracks are not only a generous opportunity for the patients at hand, but for students to grow their passion in the medical field and support up-and-coming doctors and nurses in their future.

The organization focuses in particular on assisting with childhood asthma. As their number one reason for admittance, the team is well-equipped to handle any concerns regarding childhood asthma and making sure patients get the best of care.

As mentioned before, Children’s Healthcare operates off of donations from generous individuals like you. The Zachos Team has donated monthly to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for many years, as we love the work they perform and the ways they’re able to impact families in our community.
