“I feel like they've been around the family for years. They're just very patient and it doesn't feel like a business transaction. It feels like they're genuinely trying to help you find the home of your dreams. And I feel like that's rare because everybody's just trying to make money off you these days. So having somebody that genuinely cares is nice.”
Jacob Leahey and Sandra Ramos were first time home buyers. The Zachos Team was able to help them navigate many pitfalls of the buying process, so we talked to them to find out more about their process and what they learned.
“It was just a really good experience,” Sandra said. “I was a little bit nervous, I knew Jacob already knew them, so I wasn't sure how I was going to fit into everything since there was a relationship that was built in the past, but it was amazing. I feel like I got just as close to them. They were very patient and very open to everything that we were asking for and they listened really well.”
Jacob found out about us through his mother, who we’ve helped with several transactions through the years.
“She had nothing but great things to say about them,” he said. “Always helpful, just more like friends than business associates and realtors. So the fact that she recommended them 100%, right away they were the only people I contacted.
“We were very specific about what we were looking for, due to the dogs, and they looked at a lot of homes for us. They were very patient with us, gave great recommendations and tried to meet all of our needs.”
For Jacob and Sandra, the dogs were a big factor. However, there’s plenty of other questions that can arise during a search that it can help to have an expert opinion on.
“They sent us a few just to kind of look at in the beginning, and then based on those we said, ‘okay, these are the things that we're looking for.’ And to be honest, because we're first time home buyers, we didn't really know too many things other than, ‘we just need a big backyard for the dogs,’” Sandra said. “They taught us more about what it’s important to look for and what's important to us based on our values and how we live and what we're trying to accomplish, like having kids and getting married.”
And with our help, they were able to find the perfect place. This can often be a daunting process, but The Zachos Team tries our best to be a helpful force in guiding you to a place that fits you best.
“Be patient,” said Jacob. “I know I keep saying that, but it's easy to get wrapped up in wanting to get into your home and wanting to jump into something that maybe there's two other offers on. And that's one thing Paul and Dee Dee were great about, just making sure we went through it slowly. Like, okay, you sure you want to do this? It doesn't have this, but it does have this. And as first time home buyers, we really needed that, because there were a couple of times we were ready to jump on some things that wouldn't have been right.”
We’re proud to have helped these two find a home, and if you’re looking to take the next step, you could be next. Contact The Zachos Team today, and we’ll help you with your home search in West Georgia, Atlanta, East Alabama, and beyond.
“They were awesome,” said Sandra. “They worked so well with us. We really feel like we gained another friend working with them.”
